Welcome to the San Fernando Valley EAC Website

ceac.org websiteThe San Fernando Valley EAC is one of the more than 50 local Employer Advisory Councils (EAC) throughout the State. Under the umbrella of the statewide California Employer Advisory Council (CEAC) and the State of California Employment Development Department, the San Fernando Valley EAC is the local representative to provide information on employment related issues.

In Partnership with the Employment Development Department (EDD), the EAC helps employers do business more effectively and efficiently. The EAC provides educational seminars to employers about relevant employment issues, increases employer knowledge of EDD programs and services, increases cooperation and communication between EDD and the private sector, and identifies ways to improve EDD services.

The San Fernando Valley Employer Advisory Council is a non-profit corporation committed to:San Fernando Valley

  • Providing opportunities for information resources, networking, education and services.
  • Strengthening the partnership between EDD and employers.
  • Utilizing EDD programs and services in achieving mutual goals.
  • Facilitating local economic growth that benefits the community.
  • Contributing to and supporting local programs for education.
  • Contributing to and supporting the employment and the quality of life of military veterans.

State of Emergency Notification

Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Francisco and Siskiyou County - January 2010

Employers in the counties of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Francisco and Siskiyou directly affected by the damage resulting from the severe winter storms may request up to a 60-day extension of time from EDD to file their State payroll reports and/or deposit State payroll taxes without penalty or interest. This extension may be granted under Section 1111.5 of the California Unemployment Insurance Code (CUIC). Written request for extension must be received within 60 days from the original delinquent date of the payment or return to file/pay.
