We anticipate that over 1,500 potential employees and 102 employers will have the chance to discuss employment and career opportunities. This is an excellent opportunity to fill your current employment needs and share your resources with our community including Veterans, National Guard, and Reservists returning from active duty. If you are looking for job candidates who are trained, educated, and have leadership skills, it makes sense to hire a vet. They will immediately add value to your business.
This job fair will be promoted and advertised throughout Los Angeles and Ventura Counties, as well as the surrounding areas, assuring a great turnout of potential employees for you. Your job openings will be posted in CalJOBSSM, a no-fee Internet job and resume listing service. You can expect a very diverse group of individuals from all skill levels and backgrounds. This program surveys the interplay of multiple generations in the workplace, addressing both the legal and practical aspects involved in blending the talents, desires and contributions of employees of varying ages in your organization. Attendees will learn how to take advantage of what each generation has to offer, while avoiding the conflicts that may arise in a multi-generational workforce. Ms. Gabler will discuss:

KAREN L. GABLER concentrates her practice in the representation of employers in all aspects of employment law advice and litigation. She has handled civil litigation in both state and federal courts, including class actions and complex litigation matters, as well as numerous administrative hearings, arbitrations, and mediations.
Ms. Gabler conducts seminars and training programs for managers and employees in all areas of employment practices and policies, including harassment, discrimination, management of employees, counseling and discipline, leaves of absence, disability and reasonable accommodation, and handling workplace conflict. She performs internal audits of clients' employment practices to ensure proactive compliance with current laws, and guides client investigations of employee allegations regarding harassment, discrimination, and employee theft or other misconduct.
Ms. Gabler is a frequent speaker on employment law topics and training for clients, community groups, and business professionals. She authors a bimonthly employment law column in the Los Angeles Daily Journal and the San Francisco Daily Journal, and a monthly column on employment law issues for the Simi Valley Business Advocate.
